OriginalSkateboards have done it again with one of the most professional online skate videos I’ve ever seen. This is past your average how to do skateboard tricks video. The man of the board is Sean Burke, with his trademark yellow hard hat. I would be very curious to know what skateboard deck hes riding, I’m guessing it’s one of Original’s but cannot find it on their site. There should be a lot more of these high quality videos after Original Skateboards do their overseas tour.
Wohooo! Thought I would post my first Google Map map. Anyway I had another point to this post, if your around Wellington with a stale longboard or fresh, doesn’t really matter, come down to “Peoples Coffee” it’s on Garrett Street, Te Aro, at 2pm. At around 2.15 - 2.30 we will make our way down to the waterfront, so you can also catch us there. Doesn’t matter if your the best skater on the world or first timer, just come say hi! Ok now look at my insane map!
Yesterday (15th March) there was ever New Zealand long distance longboard race (Wohooo) held in Tauranga thanks to Nacho at BestBoards, it was a 10km flat race. Seemed like a very good times event not to much competitive angry sly tactics. Nat from "Skate New Zealand" took the crown for the event, and Wellington Xtreme crew member Ricardo Simés represented in 2nd place. Also racing from Wellington was (Krazy Kat Jestah, Ren, Tiny Tyler, not sure if Big Joe made it too).Well all looks promising for New Zealand longboard scene, as there are whispers, rumors, and some facts circulating that there may be a race down in the big Wellington sometime soon, hopefully bigger and better! Anyway it’s a rule that you always have to show the biggest stack at a race, so here it is below. Not much for a 60km/ph crash, without pads or gloves! One other thing that is always over looked protection wise is sports sunglasses. So what if you have a helmet or gloves on, what use are they when you can’t see!
